Firstly, I’d like to thank you all … It really is 100% down to all your support that I am able to bring you features like this & help assure the future of The Black Raven Academy and support my ethos of “Sharing The Learning”

In grabbing this you have once again shown your belief in my mission to keep these crafts and skills alive ????

I’d also like to once again… to extend a warm welcome welcome to newer students as well as those of you who’ve already enrolled in my other courses or tried any of my patterns previously

Genuinely, most of you who know me from the Black raven Armoury Page, or have worked with me on any past projects, already realise how passionate I am about this whole industry… and it’s very much this passion that’s motivated me to share as much as I can of my own experiences via this NEW Video Channel “Behind The Forge”

“So what’s it all about” I hear you saying…..

Simple …. Behind the Forge is quite simply, just that !! This is my opportunity to fill in the gaps … the bits most folks brush over or scoot by. The nitty gritty that REALLY makes the difference when working with Armour & Costumes.

Think of this resource as one that will evolve and grow over time, based on what you really want to learn… YES… we will get to play with “Articulation” but the core of this series of episodes will be a huge mix of everything you can possibly imagine and if I’ve not covered it OR you’d like it covered…. Just ASK ???? Keep in mind,over 25 years, I’ve had to develop a mountain of techniques…

Behind The Forge, is my chance to show you “Hands on” & answer your questions “In person” until we have built a resource that is every students 1st stop when needing a bit of guidance.

As ever … “There are no hard rules” … and as always, these videos will NOT be edited to give you a polished staged production…. As ever, this is where we will keep things real and hopefully have some more fun learning.

I very much always intended these projects be a introduction to the Academy and will be keeping in touch with you all over the coming weeks just to see how your getting on, answer any extra questions about the Academy
